Special Event

Health Care Reform:  A Great American Debate

September 11, 2009 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis’ University Library.

This program is designed for students in the IU School of Medicine.

Our aim is to raise awareness of the state of health in America and to reflect on how the pending health care reform initiatives in Congress may address deficiencies in our health care system.  To accomplish this, our national experts and panelists will engage students in a dialogue regarding proposed health reform options, from incremental changes to our existing employer –based, health insurance model to reforms involving the “public option” as well as the “single payer” or “Medicare for All” reforms.
